About Karegaroo
Karegaroo was established in 2021 by a group of senior biomedical engineering students at Tulane University. Going into the project, we knew that we wanted to create a device that would benefit doctors, nurses, babies and parents in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. After taking a trip to Ochsner and hearing from Respiratory Therapist, Rusty Aucoin, about the long and difficult process of obtaining a neonate's electrocardiogram, we came up with the Karegaroo Neonatal ECG Vest.
