Product Details
The Karegaroo Neonatal Electrocardiogram Device is a small vest that is placed on top of the baby and magnetically connects to each of the ECG snaps to make the process of putting on all of the leads go faster while also maintaining as little stimulation as possible. To prevent the baby from grasping at the wires and pulling off the electrode pads we have encapsulated all of these wires into the vest, so that the baby cannot grab anything nor pull off the leads. The product includes 10 magnetic adaptors, 10 magnets wired within two layers of baby-safe material, exposed side snaps to make the vest compatible with all ECG machines, and multiple sizes to fit varying ages of neonates.

Magnetic Electrode Pad Adaptors
Traditionally, nurses first place on the electrode pads on the baby and then snap the electrodes on, putting about 3.5 pounds of weight onto a tiny baby's chest. Karegaroo's electrode pad adaptors prevent this by connecting to the magnets embedded within the vest. Using this method, only a couple ounces maximum will be applied to the chest.
Wiring and Magnetic Electrodes Embedded
There are 10 magnets within the vest that line up with the 10 pads and adaptors on the patient. The magnets are connected to wires running through the vest that meet at the electrode snap hub on the side. Having all of the wires inside of the vest prevents the baby from pulling off the electrodes and their pads.

Compatible with all ECG Machines
The vest is designed to be compatible with any hospital ECG machine by having an electrode hub on the side with male snaps that are compatible with any female snap electrode heads. Simply connect the 10 electrode heads to your ECG machine and put them on each corresponding electrode snap on the side of the vest.
Baby Safe Mesh Material
Karegaroo's vest is made of a safe foam material that is designed to lightly grip the baby's skin so that the device holds in place. Working together, the magnets and the mesh will create a secure fit to capture the most accurate measurements.

Multiple Sizes
Due to the large variance in sizes of neonatal babies, the vests come in small, medium, and large sizing. Simply use the size chart under the instruction manual to decide which size is right for your patient.
